A third program you can take a look at is the scholarships given away at Arkansas Tech.  Any program of study can be funded with the $1,500 from the scholarship program.  You can get from $1K to $5K and you can achieve this by submitting examples of your writing.

Win more scholarships by applying for more scholarships than you think is necessary.  Also, another good idea when applying for scholarships is to start doing it early on during the semester so as to have more time to complete more applications.  

There is no secret formula that you can use to get a scholarship.   The best piece of advice I can give you about applying for scholarships is to apply for as many of them as you qualify for.

One of these scholarships is the $10K scholarship drawing by freecollegescholarships.net.  You have to be at least eighteen years old or older and be a U.S. resident to be eligible to register for this scholarship offer.  To enter the scholarship drawing, you simply have to fill a one-page registration form.  The drawing occurs every month so don’t forget to register as soon as you get a chance.

You can also research further the Higher Reach Scholarship from Walmart.  The $3,000 scholarship can be yours if you qualify.  You need to maintain a 2.5 grade point average at minimum and also show financial need if you want to apply.

The Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship provides up to $26K in scholarship money.  Both associates and their dependents can apply for this $3,000 scholarship.  You can also submit types of works like non-fiction and poetry.

Scholarship committees are looking for a well-rounded student who performs well academically who also contributes to his or her community.  Having a main essay that you can tweak for different scholarship programs can help you to more easily get the essay part done and still have a strong essay to present to the scholarship committee.
